PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Position light with lifting of 20 pounds and frequent lifting/carrying up to 10 pounds. Physical factors include constant typing and use of hearing, near/midrange/far vision, depth perception, color/field of vision; frequent standing, walking, driving, typing; occasional pushing/pulling, climbing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, manual handling, use of smell and bending. Working conditions include occasional exposure to weather, extreme heat/cold, wet/humidity, and noise and air quality. Potential hazards include constant computer use; frequent client contact and potential exposure to high-risk and volatile situations, infectious exposure, needles/syringes, and equipment use.

REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School diploma or G.E.D required.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an office environment and 1 year working in the social service field or with a victim services program required.
Certification/License: Will be required to undergo and successfully pass a background check. Must maintain a good moral character standing. Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by the Sault Tribe Insurance Department. Must comply with annual license review and insurability standards. Will be required to complete and pass pre-employment drug testing.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must have working knowledge and be able to use word processing and spreadsheet and database software. Must have working knowledge and be able to use office equipment such as faxes, copiers, and phone systems. Knowledge of general office procedures. Must have good typing, proofreading, and telephone etiquette skills. Must have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. Must have excellent public relations/customer services skills and exhibit a friendly and positive attitude and establish and maintain effective communication with co-workers, supervisors, and guests. Must be able to work with little or no supervision. Must be able to work in high-stress environments and handle difficult situations. Must maintain confidentiality. Native American preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (includes, but is not limited to, the following)
  • Assists the Grant Coordination Assistant Manager with daily data entry duties and other day-to-day functions of the ARC Sexual Violence Resource Program.
  • Processes disbursement vouchers.
  • Answers phones, and greets clients and visitors.
  • Performs extensive data entry in various databases.
  • Prepares and maintains program files.
  • Coordinates travel arrangements and processes travel advances and reconciliations.                      
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (includes, but is not limited to, the following)
  • Attends various meetings and conferences.   
  • Continues professional development and invests time in staying current on the profession.           
  • Orders and maintains supplies.
  • Assist with coordinating vehicle maintenance and scheduling; scheduling of staff for usage of maintaining documentation of repairs.    
  • All other job-related duties as assigned.
