Lodge of Bravery

The Advocacy Resource Center's Lodge of Bravery is a culturally honoring gender integrated intimate partner violence temporary emergency shelter.  

The Lodge of Bravery:

• Is staffed 24 hours a day
• Provides immediate safety to survivors and their children seeking safety from intimate partner violence
• Is handicap accessible
• Is a secure communal living facility

The Lodge of Bravery is able to accommodate a survivor's pets in an on-site six run climate controlled kennel.  

The Lodge of Bravery has:

• An indoor and outdoor play area for children
• On-site laundry facilities
• An on-site Wabano (ceremonial healing lodge)
• A Traditional Medicine garden

If an individual does not meet shelter eligibility criteria, Advocacy Resource Center staff will assist with referrals to other available community agencies.
